Step 1: Define what you need
Before you start reviewing the options, answer the following questions:
- How often will I use the space? – Every day, a few times a week, or occasionally?
- Do I need a dedicated desk or is a hot desk enough? – A dedicated desk means your space waiting for you every day.
- Will I be meeting clients? – If so, a meeting room is essential.
- Am I coming by car? – Free parking is a rarity in Ljubljana, but a huge advantage.
- What budget do I have? – Set a monthly limit and compare what you get for it.

Step 2: Check the location and accessibility

Step 3: Compare what is included in the price
The monthly price alone is not enough for comparison. The key is whether internet, printing, coffee, a meeting room, parking and an external monitor are included in the price – or whether you pay extra for all of it. Step 4: Read the Google reviews
Google reviews are the quickest way to check the quality of a coworking space. Pay attention to:
- The average rating – 4.5+ is a good sign. 5.0 is exceptional.
- The number of reviews – 5 reviews at 5.0 are less reliable than 25 reviews at 4.9.
- The content of the reviews – Do people mention concrete advantages (location, atmosphere, equipment) or are the reviews generic?
- Reviews from foreigners – Do digital nomads and foreigners recommend the space? That is a good sign of international openness.
Step 5: Visit the space in person
No website can replace a personal visit. On the tour, pay attention to:
- Atmosphere – Do you feel comfortable in the space? What is the noise level?
- Quality of equipment – Are the chairs ergonomic? Are the desks big enough? What is the lighting like?
- Community – Are people friendly? Do they talk to each other? What is the energy like?
