Where to sleep

How to move
An LPP single ride is 1.50 € with an Urbana card, including free transfers within 90 minutes. LPP lines 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 25 stop at Remiza and Slovenija avto, under two minutes from the desk, and the railway and main bus station are a 15-minute walk. Driving? Our private car park 50 m from the entrance is free, 24/7, and the motorway exit Ljubljana Šentvid is about five minutes away.
Whether to buy the Ljubljana Card
The official Ljubljana Card costs 41 € for 24 hours, 49 € for 48 hours and 54 € for 72 hours (Visit Ljubljana, 2026). It covers unlimited city buses and one-time entry to more than 30 attractions, including the castle, a river cruise and a guided city tour, and activates on first use. On a workation you only have afternoons, so it pays off only if you stack the castle, the cruise and a museum into two or three consecutive days. Otherwise, buy singles.
Packing and tech checklist for a workation in Slovenia
- Laptop, charger, headphones. That is genuinely the whole tech list: we lend monitors, mice, keyboards and every cable and adapter (HDMI, USB-C, VGA, Lightning, docking).
- Nothing to print. Printing is unlimited and free, colour included, so leave the paperwork on the drive.

1. Over-scheduling. Five days, five day trips, zero work. Pick two big outings (Bled and the coast, or Bled and the caves) and leave the rest to the city. 2. Café-only work. Charming until you need a stable connection, a power socket and somewhere to take a call without twelve strangers listening. Use cafés for the coffee, a desk for the work. 3. Booking flights before the desk. With 18 desks and a small city, availability is the constraint. Confirm the desk, then the flights. 4. Leaving Ljubljana every day. The park, the castle and the market are the best value on the list, and all of them are on foot from the desk. 5. Ignoring your calendar’s time zone. Calls with the US land in your afternoon.
