- Flights. Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) handled roughly 1.6 million passengers in 2025. - Trains. Zagreb is the easy one: around nine direct trains a day, the fastest in about 2 h 47 min, with tickets from 9 € according to Slovenian Railways. Vienna has roughly one direct train a day (the fastest just over five hours, most connections around six and a half), and Munich takes just under six hours at best with a change in Salzburg or Villach. The railway station and the main bus station are 1.5 km from our door, a 15-minute walk.
- Scale. Prešeren Square is an eight-minute walk from the desks, hotels of every category are within reach on foot, and the city is safe for people wandering back from dinner. English is spoken almost everywhere.

Day 1: workshop, desks and dinner in the old town
Day one is the working day: one substantial workshop, a few hours side by side, and an evening that does not need a spreadsheet.
1. 09:00 arrival and set-up. Everyone gets a fixed desk with an ergonomic chair, a wired ethernet connection, a loan monitor and every cable and adapter a mixed fleet of laptops could need. Coffee and soft drinks are in the kitchen; the balcony faces the park. 2. 09:30–12:30 workshop. For a team of up to eight or so, the meeting room (screen, whiteboard, fast internet) does the job and is included with the desks. For a larger group or a longer format, we arrange a classroom, lecture room or the multipurpose hall on the campus, quoted per event. 3. 12:30 lunch. The campus restaurant serves daily lunches, or walk into town for a malica, the weekday set lunch that costs roughly 7–10 € for soup and a main. 4. 14:00–17:00 desk time. Pair up, ship what you decided on in the morning, and let the colleague with an unmovable client call take it in the 12 m² call room. 5. 17:30 the walk. Tivoli Park to the old town is Ljubljana’s best half hour. Dinner by the river, and the after-work list for anyone still standing.
Day 2: planning session, then Tivoli or Bled
Day two is for decisions with a horizon: the quarterly roadmap, the retrospective nobody does properly on video, the hiring plan. Book the morning for that and keep the afternoon light, because the informal hours are where remote teams actually repair their communication.
- 09:00–12:30 planning. Same room, fresh whiteboard. Assign owners before lunch, not after.
- 13:30 option A: the city. Tivoli and Rožnik on foot, then the castle for the view. No transport, no booking.

- Evening departures. The station is a 15-minute walk from the desks, and anyone with a car has been parked for free the whole time.
Offsite venue Ljubljana: one campus, several room sizes

Hotels near the centre and Tivoli range from budget guesthouses to five-star, and prices swing with the season: September tends to be the priciest month and January the cheapest, so an off-season offsite buys nicer rooms for the same budget.
